Welcome to Jasmine Purls, a blog dedicated to my adventures in knitting and crochet wonderland.  On this blog, you can find crafting inspiration, a journal of my latest projects and hopefully some knitting patterns of my own design. I'm just at the start of my knitwear design journey - despite knitting for more than a decade, there's still a lot to learn about pattern writing, grading and designing. Jasmine Purls is a little space for me to document my latest creations, provide advice to other makers and share my own designs with the world. I hope you enjoy my little crafty corner of the internet!

Who am I?

Hi, I'm Jasmine - a knitter and crocheter based in the U.K. I learned to knit at age 12 with strips of plastic bags, as part of a school recycled art project. Since then, I've been knitting on-and-off for many years and I've become extremely passionate about it over the past 2 years or so. I've also picked up a bit of crochet along the way too. As part of my crafting journey, I had the privilege of working for an online craft company for 6 months, where I learned so much more about yarn, knitting and craft blogging. I'm now putting all of that knowledge to good use by sharing everything I have learned in my own little online space. 

In case you were curious, the name Jasmine Purls was created out of my love for two different things. Purl, as you should well know, refers to the knitting stitch, whereas jasmine pearls are a type of tea. Being a lover of both knitting and tea, it only seemed right that I name my blog Jasmine Purls. After all, knitters and craft bloggers alike love their puns!
